Peace Dollars

A hefty artistic masterpiece, the Peace dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci struck between 1921 and 1935. Advocated by Farran Zerbe and intended to celebrate the world peace that followed the Great War, the obverse depicts the Goddess of Liberty and the reverse shows a stately eagle. In 1965, 316,000 1964-dated Peace dollars were struck but melted, adding to the lore of the series. A beautiful piece of Americana at an affordable price!
